The Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen supports international artists by organizing an artist-in-residence program at which it awards around forty residency grants in the fields of visual arts, literature, and composition each year. Grant holders are able to focus on their work without time or financial pressure.
The progressive potential of the arts, which have an impact on other areas of society, as well as the testing of new methods and structures through processes are key fields of the program. The CAP (Curating for Advanced Practices) program of the Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen aims to develop new strategies and structures in the arts and for artistic practices and negotiate their implementation and production conditions.
The transdisciplinary exchange with fellow artists and authors as well as with local and regional communities allows for new impulses, perspectives, and networks. The Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen facilitates encounters between different realities of life and knowledge production as well as between professional disciplines.
